COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) recently released their 2025 NFHCA Division III All-Region teams sponsored by Apex Field Hockey, and
Grace Bazin of the Keene State College field hockey team continued to pick up the accolades from her historic senior season as she was selected to the First Team All-Region this season. Division III teams are separated into six regions and each of the regions recognize up to 16 student-athletes on both the first team and second teams.
Grace Bazin, a senior forward from Westminster, Vermont became the first Owl to be selected to the NFHCA First Team All-Region since Ally McCall in the 2019 season for KSC. The awards keep coming for Bazin as she was recently named to the NFHCA Collegiate Senior Team, after becoming the second Owl in program history to be named the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season to go with her second consecutive First Team All-LEC nod. Across the season Bazin also took home the LEC Offensive Player of the Week award seven of 10 possible weeks on the season and was also named an honorable mention for the NFHCA Player of the Week one week. Across her senior season, Bazin led the nation across all three NCAA divisions in points, points per game, and goals, with 83 points, for 3.77 points per game, and 37 goals. All three marks were more than double the next closest in the LEC and her 83 points were the second most in program history for a season and led second place across all NCAA by 10 points on the year, while her 37 goals became the single season record for the Owls.
Of the 16 members to be named to the NFHCA First Team All-Region for Region II, Bazin was only one of two selected that were not members of a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) program, alongside Samantha Souza from Bridgewater State University, who finished second in the country in points and goals (33 goals and seven assists for 73 points). On the NFHCA Second Team All-Region, out of the 16 members selected, 11 were members of NESCAC teams, while two other LEC teams saw a selection with Emma Sanson of Eastern Connecticut State University and Jess Smithson of the University of Vermont State Castleton earning the nod. Maddie Perkins of Husson University and Samantha Thebarge were the other two non-NESCAC selections to the Second Team.
