COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) recently released their 60 Division III senior student-athletes that have been named to the 2025 NFHCA Collegiate Senior Team and
Grace Bazin of the Keene State College field hockey team earned the selection for her record-breaking season.
The honor celebrates their competitive excellence, leadership, and lasting influence within their programs. Selections are based on nominations submitted by NFHCA member coaches and reviewed by committees composed entirely of NFHCA coach members. Seniors are eligible for selection only once during their collegiate careers.
Bazin is the first Owl since Ally McCall in 2019 to be selected to the NFHCA Division III Senior Team, as McCall was selected to participate in the 2019 Senior Game. "Bazin is a tenacious competitor. We haven't had somebody selected to the NFHCA Senior Team in a while, and it was never a doubt to me that Bazin would earn the recognition this season," said Owls' head Coach
Amy Watson. "Bazin has been nationally recognized across the season from her hard work, so I am glad to see her be selected to the Senior Team. It was also great to see other representation from the Little East Conference too, with Emma Sanson from Eastern (Connecticut State University) and Jess Smithson from (Vermont State University) Castleton also earning the recognition among some of the best seniors across the country."
Across her senior season, Bazin led all of NCAA across all three division in goals, with a program-record of 37, and led all the NCAA in points, with 83. Across the 10 possible weeks to earn a LEC weekly award, Bazin took home the Offensive Player of the Week seven times on her way to being named the Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year, and to the First Team All-LEC again, along with an NFHCA Player of the Week Honorable Mention once this season.
