'WENHAM, MA.  2/8/03 – Keene State College men's and women's swim teams completed their dual meet season with victories over Gordon College on Saturday in Wenham, MA.

The Owl women improved their record to 8-2 with a 163-82 victory over the Fighting Scots.  The KSC men's team prevailed 67-47 to go to 5-3 on the season.

Cathy Sue Klein (Middlesex, N.J.) continued her strong season with first place finishes in the 500 (5:41.66) and 1,000-yard freestyle (11:30.99) races. Megan Humphreys (New Hartford, N.Y.) also had a pair of wins in the 200 freestyle (2:08.34) and the 200 individual medley (2:20.20).

Senior Steve Kvalheim (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the KSC men with victories in the 50 breaststroke (30.10) and 100 individual medley.  Charlie Garrigan (Camden, Me.) won the 100 freestyle and took second in the 200 freestyle while Mike Blain (Somers, CT) captured the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:19.00.

Keene State will now get set for the New England Div. II-III Championships, Feb. 21-23 at Bentley College.
