'KEENE, N.H. 2/4/06 - The Keene State College men's and
women's swim teams swept Gordon College in a dual meet on
Saturday. The men won 169-33, while the women won
136-96.
Kyle Uricchio (Enfield, Conn.) won the 1,000 yard
freestyle with a time of 10:20.96, while John West (West Hartford,
Conn.), with the 200 yard free style in 1:56.33.
Uricchio also won the 100 yard freestyle. Other winners for
KSC included Dan Ormrod (Branford, Conn.) in the 50 yard
backstroke, Scott Seligman (Clifton Park, N.Y.) in the 50 yard
breaststroke, Charlie Garrigan (Camden, Me.) in the 100 yard fly,
Noah Derohanian (Essex, Conn.) in the 50 yard fly, and Adam Van
Brandenburg (Tenafly, N.J.) in the 50 yard freestyle.
Seligman was also victorious in the 100 yard breaststroke
(1:01.65), and Garrigan won the 500 yard freestyle (5:04.28).
The 200 yard medley relay team of Omrod, Seligman, Ian MacAskill
(Londonderry, N.H.), and Mike Mullholland (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.)
also won in with a time of 1:47.79.
On the women's side, Kaitlin Pryor (Jaffrey, N.H.) won the 100
yard individual medley (1:05.52), as well as the 500 yard
freestyle, and the 50 yard backstroke. Kelly Yankowski
(Turners Falls, Mass.) won the 100 yard freestyle (58.09), and
Caitlin Coulombe (Lincoln, R.I.) won the 100 yard backstroke
(1:09.98). The 200 yard medley relay squad of Yankowski,
Kelly Widman (Middlebury, Conn.), Coulombe, and Devon Trabilsy
(Hillsborough, N.J.) won with a time of 2:01.63.
Other notable finishes for the Owl women included Liesel Dolce
(Jamestown, R.I.) who finished second in the1000 yard freestyle,
KSC will be at the New England Championships at Bentley College
(Waltham, Mass.) on February 17.
