'WILLIMANTIC, CONN. 1/20/07 - The Keene State College women's
swim/dive team remained undefeated in dual meet competition (6-0)
with a 162-97 victory over Eastern Connecticut State University in
Saturday Willimantic, Con.
The Owls won 13 of 14 events at the meet.
Keene State had four double winners in the meet. Senior Katlin
Pryor (Jaffrey, N.H.) won the 100 fly (1:02.79) and the 500 free
(5:19.99), freshman Alea Paddock (Newbury, N.H.) placed first in
the 200 free (2:05.55) and 100 breast (1:12.46), junior Megan Flynn
(Farmington, Con.) prevailed in the 50 back (30.68) and 100 back
(1:05.75), and junior Kelly Yankowski (Turners Falls, Mass.) swam
to victories in the 50 free (26.17) and the 100 I.M. (1:05.45).
Other first place performances were turned in by senior Devon
Trabilsy (Hillsborough, N.J.) in the 400 I.M. (4:54.82), junior
Kelly Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) in the 100 free (57.38), and
freshman Kristine Trutor (Holden, Mass.) in the 50 fly (27.49).
Trutor's mark in the fly set a school record. She broke the record
of Karly Smith 28.17 set in 2003.
The Owls also won 200 medley relay (1:57.28) and the 200 free
relay (1:47.63).
Both KSC men's and women's swim teams host Bridgewater State on
Wednesday (6 p.m.).
