MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. 3/19/09- Keene State's Kristine
Trutor qualified for the finals in the 100 butterfly race
at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving
Championships taking place at the University Aquatic Center on
the campus of the University of Minnesota on Thursday.
Trutor, a junior from Holden, Mass. finished 14th out of 47
competitors with a school record time of 57.28. The top-15
swimmers return to the pool this evening for the finals in the
event. Regardless of her finish, Trutor will become the first KSC
women's swimmer to score at the national meet.
Trutor will also swim in the 100 and 200 backstroke races at the
championship.
