WORCESTER, Mass.--The Keene State College men's swimming and diving team won nine events at the non scoring New England Invitational at WPI on Saturday.
Shahar Resman led the way with wins in the 500 and 1,000 yard freestyle. The Owls placed the top two finishers in the 500, with Resman winning in 4:43.51, and Cole Hogg in second in 4:59.16. Resman also clocked in first in the 1,000 free, in 9:32.82.
KSC swept the top three places in the 200 free, with Hogg picking up a win in 1:45.76, just ahead of Ryan Boraski (1:47.61) and Christopher DiGiacomo (1:47.74).
Bobby McDowell won the 50 back in 25.23, while DiGiacomo won the 400 IM in 4:18.00, just ahead of Resman, who was second in 4:19.41. Greg Youngstrom added another victory in the 50 free, touching the wall in 21.54. Nathan Shepard won in a tight finish in the 100 breast, with a time of 1:00.90, just ahead of Tufts' Morgan Ciliv in 1:01.07.
Cody Fitzgerald finished in second place on the 3-meter board, scoring 227.20, and was fourth on the 1-meter board with a score of 185.65.
The Owls also picked up a pair of relay wins, as Boraski, Resman, Youngstrom, and DiGiacomo posted a near three second win in the 400 free relay in 3:14.32. Boraski and Youngstrom were also part of a winning quartet in the 200 free relay, along with Hogg and Luke Sprague in 1:25.91.
Keene State will be off for two weeks, returning to the pool on November 15 for a tri-match at Springfield College, with Wheaton College also taking part.
