WELLESLEY, Mass. – Following the second day of action for the Keene State College men's and women's diving teams,
Rory Lee led the Owls with her first-place victory in the 500-meter freestyle, picking up her second consecutive win in the event at the Little East Conference Championship.
Thursday and Friday's Highlights
Lee repeated as the champion on the women's side in the 500 free with a time of 5:22.11, besting Ollie Kramer of Plymouth state University by 0.69 seconds, with a second-place time of 5:22.80. Two other Owls rounded out the top-eight in the 500 free with
Hannah Reddick swimming to a fifth-place finish in 5:37.73, and Madison Wilson finishing seventh in 4:41.26.
Tallulah Going placed fifth for the Owls in the 50 free in 25.75, while three other Owls placed top-eight in the 200 IM as
Olivia Boulris placed third in 2:21.16,
Rebecca Radonovich placed fifth in 2:24.14, and
Emily Stokel finished in seventh in 2:27.95.
In the Owls' two relays on the day, KSC finished the 200 free relay in 1:43.89 for third place, and the 400 medley relay in 6th place in 4:21.33. On the women's side, KSC finishes the first two days of action in third place with 181 points, behind Eastern Connecticut State University's first place 308.5-point total.
On the men's side, the Owls' best event on the day was the 500 free as
Leo Lauridsen finished in second in 4:56.42, and
Alec Agosto finished fifth in 5:12.76. Zack Menz and
Caiden Cox earned points for the Owls in the 50 breast, placing sixth and eighth, respectively. In Thursday's action, in the 3M diving,
Cooper Niles placed second with 298.25 points, while
Keegan Johnson placed fifth with 213.55 points.
After the first two days of action, KSC sits in fifth place on the men's side with 176 points, with Bridgewater State University leading the way with 291 points.
