SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Hope Walsh was a part of wins in four events as the Keene State College women's swimming and diving team took a tri-meet with Springfield College and Wheaton College at the Art Linkletter Natatorium in Springfield on Saturday.
The Owls beat Wheaton 209-85, while edging the Pride 160-138.
The day began with a tight finish in the 200 medley relay, with Brianna Laliberte, Diana Pimer, Liv Gallugi, and Allison Bartlett winning in 1:52.05, just a half second ahead of the group from Springfield.
Walsh picked up her first win with a dominating time of 10:44.97 in the 1,000 free, more than 16 seconds ahead of Springfield's Kassandra Lamb.
Taylor DaSilva added another win, taking the 100 back in 1:00.87, and Bartlett won the 50 free in 24.41, and the 100 free in 54.47. There was another win for Walsh in the 200 back, in 2:15.15, and Pimer won the 200 breast in 2:29.25. Walsh completed the hat-trick with a victory in the 500 free in 5:13.95.
Pimer nabbed another win in the 200 IM, in 2:13.26, while Walsh, DaSilva, Bartlett, and Caity Shea capped the day with a win in the 400 free relay in 3:40.99.
The Owls will be back in action next weekend, taking part in another tri-meet with Tufts and Middlebury at Middlebury College.
