Owls Split With Middlebury, Tufts

MIDDLEBURY, Vt.--Hope Walsh, Diana Pimer, and Alison Bartlett each won two events as the Keene State College women's swimming and diving team split a tri-match with Tufts University and Middlebury College on Saturday afternoon.

The Owls beat Tufts 162-138, but fell to Middlebury 156-144.

Walsh, the reigning Little East Conference Rookie of the Week, won the 200 freestyle in 1:58.50, and the 500 free in 5:18.57.  Pimer captured the 200 IM in 2:14.38, while taking the 100 breast in 108.61.   

Bartlett won the 50 free in 24.22, touching in just ahead of Middlebury's Jamie Hillas, who was second in 24.71.  Bartlett also won the 100 free in 53.78.  

Other winners for KSC included Caity Shea, who won the 1,000 free in 10:53.85, Taylor DaSilva in the 100 back in 1:01.03, and Amber Long in the 200 fly in 2:13.66. 

KSC returns to action after Thanksgiving at the Little East Conference championship, held at UMass Dartmouth, on December 6.  KSC will be looking to win the title for the ninth straight year.
