NORTON, Mass.--The Keene State College swim and dive teams headed into the Thanksgiving break on the back of several strong performances in a tri-meet against Springfield College and Wheaton College (Mass.) on Saturday afternoon.

Men's Results

The foursome of Antony Hubbard, JT Barth, Kyle Shadeck, and Patrick Doyle posted a second place finish in the 200 yard medley relay in 1:43.13.  Shadeck also posted a dominating win in the 200 fly, finishing in 1:58.26, nearly 10 seconds ahead of the second place finisher, as well as winning the 200 individual medley in 1:59.02.  

Hubbard added a fourth place time in the 1,000 free in 10:53.70, as did Patrick Doyle in the 200 free in 1:54.36.  Shadeck added a second place nod in the 100 backstroke in 56.77, while Barth finished second in the 100 breastroke in 1:04.05.  Hubbard was also fourth in the 200 backstroke, clocking in at 2:07.97, and a second place finish in the 500 free in 5:08.83.

Doyle was also third in the 100 fly, with a time of 58.03.

Women's Results

The women's 200 medley relay also turned in a solid performance, placing third in 1:55.98, with Sydney McGough, Emily McMahon, Margaret Dean, and Katie Brandeberry comprising the team.  Hope Walsh notched a win in the 1,000 freestyle in 10:47.14, while Hannah Wood also picked up a win, taking the 100 backstroke in 1:01.02.  Sophie Hayes was also in the winner's circle, in 2:12.32.

Walsh was also third in the 200 free in 2:01.00, as did Madison Pechulis in the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.63.  Wood was also second in the 200 back, in 2:14.44, while Madison Pechulis added a third place finish in the 200 breaststroke in 2:36.79.  Walsh touched in for second place in the 500 free, in 5:20.22, with Hayes finishing third in the 100 fly in 1:00.03.

The Owls are off until Friday, December 1, when they take part in the three day MIT Invitational.
