NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--Junior Lauren Perkowski won the individual medal as the Keene State College cross country team competed at the Smith College Invitational on Saturday morning.

Women's Highlights

• Perkowski dominated the 5k course, traversing the field in 20:02.1, besting the next closest competitor by more than 14 seconds.
• Alana Olendorf added a seventh place finish in 21:08, followed by Lynne Hebert in 11th place in 21:23.6, and Laura Dawson in 21:36.2 for 15th place.  
• Brittany Gravallese was 28th overall in 22:13.9, with Alexis Gauthier (56th, 23:22.4), and Emma Brown (73rd, 25:01.0) rounding out the Keene State competitors.
• Nine points separated the top four teams; the hosts, Smith, took home the team race with 51 points, followed by Mount Holyoke with 56 points, Springfield with 59, and Keene State in fourth place with 60.

Men's Highlights

• Iid Shiekh-Yusuf took home third place to lead the Owls, covering the 8k course in 27:31.6.  Cameron Stinchfield also finished in the top 10, in sixth place in 28:09.0.
• Rob St. Laurent placed 14th in 28.49.9, with Gavin Thomas in 17th place in 28:56.2, and Cameron Giordano in 23rd in 29:17.9.
• Zach Coburn (34th, 30:29.1), Jacob Whitfield (40th, 31:01.4), Jackson Brannen (41st, 31:44.3), Alex Medina (43rd, 31:54.5), and Dylan Richards (45th, 32:50.1) completing the KSC field.
• Springfield took home the team title with 39 points, with Division II Franklin Pierce in second with 58 points and Keene State in third with 63 points.
