NEW LONDON, N.H.--The Keene State College swimming and diving team set three pool records and won 23 events in total in a season opening sweep of Colby-Sawyer College at the Knight Natatorium on Saturday.
Women's Results
Madison Pechulis set a new pool mark in the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.89.  Other winners for KSC included the 400 medley relay team of Samantha Dickinson, Olivia Pechulis, Sophie Hayes, and Erin Morley, who combined for a time of 4:20.46, while Paige Carey won the 1,000 free with a dominating performance of 12:07.24. Â
Jaelin Jang opened her collegiate career with a win in the 200 free in 2:05.07, and Samantha Dickinson was in first in the 400 IM in 5:01.57. Chloe Cyr won the 1-meter dive in 102.90, while Hayes won the 100 fly in 1:02.50. Kristyn Simoneau won the 100 free in 58.41, while Molly O'Connor did the same in the 500 free in 5:52.62.
Keene State won the women's portion of the meet 127-71.
Men's Results
George Colarullo set new pool marks on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, scoring 224.55 on the 1-meter and 233.10 on the 3-meter. Zach Payne, Tomas Langland, Kyle Shadeck, and Michael Moorman won the 400 medley relay in 3:52.77, as did Quint Kimmel in the 1,000 in 11:11.44. Eric King notched a victory in the 200 free in 1:53.61, and Moorman picked up a solo win in the 50 free in 23.84.
Shadeck won the 400 IM in 4:30.65, and the 100 fly in 54.21. Payne touched the wall first in the 100 free in 51.73, and Kimmel picked up a second win of the day in the 500 free in 5:27.01. JT Barth claimed the 100 breast in 1:04.33, and the Owls ended the meet with a win in the 400 free relay in 3:35.64, led by Andrew Daur, Kimmel, Patrick Doyle, and Cameron Stinchfield.
