Owls Clock Eight Wins Against Bentley

WALTHAM, Mass.--The Keene State College swimming and diving teams won eight events in a dual meet against Bentley University on Saturday afternoon.

Women's Highlights

Samantha Dickinson won the 200 backstroke in 2:22.31, and Patsy Ciampi was second in the same event in 2:27.30.    Molly O'Connor also recorded a win in the 500 free, in 5:53.22, while the Owls took the top four places in the 200 breaststroke.  Madison Pechulis won the event in 2:35.55, with Olivia Pechulis in second in 2:42.11, Carey in third in 2:42.47, and Maureen Pycko fourth in 2:49.64.

Paige Carey was second in the 1,000 free in 11:51.52, while Jaelin Jang was third in the 200 free in 2:05.19.   Kristyn Simoneau was fourth in the 50 free, clocking in at 26.96 in a race where 1.54 seconds separated the top four places.  Simoneau was also third in the 200 fly in 2:23.37.

O'Connor, Ciampi, Erin Morley, and Laura Chaffee also teamed up to win the 200 free relay in 1:52.52.   The 200 medley relay foursome of Dickinson, Madison Pechulis, Simoneau, and Jang also took third in 1:59.03.

Bentley won the meet 132-90.

Men's Highlights

George Colarullo won the 1-meter dive, scoring 236.24, and also won the 3-meter board with a score of 229.95, while JT Barth and Eric King went 1-2 in the 200 breaststroke, with Barth winning in 2:21.12, and King in second in 2:25.02.   Jacob Peters, Quint Kimmel, Patrick Doyle, and Andrew Daur won the 200 free relay in 1:37.03, while Doyle was second in the 200 fly in 2:11.91 and Zach Payne was third in the 100 free in 51.55, while Andrew Daur was third in the 200 back in 2:07.81.  

Peters was second in the 500 free, finishing in 5:17.86, while Payne, Barth, Doyle, and Michael Morman were third in the 200 medley relay in 1:43.11.  Kimmel was fourth in the 1,000 free in 11:01.25, and Payne fourth in the 50 free in 23.22.  

Bentley took the meet 145-89.

KSC closes out the semester at the MIT Invitational, beginning on December 5.
