KINGSTOWN, R.I.--Junior George Colarullo won the 1-meter diving event with a season high score as the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving championships continued at the Tootell Aquatic Center on Saturday.
Men's Highlights
Colarullo dominated the diving event, scoring 410.65 for a 16 point win; no other diver scored over 400 points. Zach Payne, JT Barth, Patrick Doyle, and Michael Morman opened the finals portion of the meet with a third place finish in the 200 medley relay, in 1:37.24, while Tyler Young was third in the 400 IM in 4:16.77.
Payne added a second place nod in the 100 back in 53.59, and Barth was fourth in the 100 breast in 1:00.72. Payne, Jacob Peters, Morman, and Eric King composed the 200 free relay that was fourth in 1:30.07.
Keene State moved up in the team scores for the third consecutive day, now finding themselves in second place with a total of 394 points. Roger Williams leads the meet with 711 points.
Women's Highlights
In the 200 medley relay, Samantha Dickinson, Madison Pechulis, Sophie Hayes, and Paige Carey were fourth in 1:52.82, while Pechulis was second in the 100 breast in 1:07.88. Dickinson, Carey, Jaelin Jang, and Madison Pechulis were also fourth in the 200 free relay in 1:43.20.
Keene State is still in third place following the third day of the meet, with 790 points. Roger Williams (1,056) and Simmons (941) remain atop the leaderboard.
