KEENE, N.H.--362 days after they last took to the lanes in a competitive event, the Keene State College swimming and diving team resumed their dominance against Little East Conference competition with a 168-85 win over Rhode Island College on Saturday night.
Keene State won every event save one, starting with a victory in the 200 medley relay by
Emily Rogers,
Jaelin Jang,
Laura Chaffee, and
Patsy Ciampi in 2:09.49.Â
Kristyn Simoneau took the 200 IM in 2:25.55, while freshman
Ava Rondeau won the 50 backstroke in 30.30. Â
Paige Carey won the 50 breaststroke in 32.22, and
Kim Theleen took home the 100 fly in 1:10.50.Â
Kiley Young was victorious in the 50 free in 26.08, and
Emily Rogers won the 100 free in 1:02.42. Rondeau added another win in the 100 back in 1:04.45, while Carey notched another win in the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.69. Rogers also won the 500 free in 5:58.44, and Jang won the 50 fly in 28.95. Â
Kiley Young took the 100 IM in 1:05.42, and Theleen,
Amanda Davies, Rogers, and
Kristyn Simoneau won the 200 free relay in 1:54.38. Â
Keely Alterio won the 1 meter dive, scoring 289.75, while
Emma Stelzner was second in 229.75.
Keene State is next slated to compete against Western New England University on February 27.
