KEENE, N.H.--The Keene State College women's swim and dive team came back to Spaulding Pool with a vengeance, rolling past Western New England University 213-58 in a virtual meet conducted on Saturday.
The Owls won every event, beginning with a victory in the 400 medley relay by
Kristyn Simoneau,
Paige Carey,
Kiley Young, and
Laura Chaffee in 4:26.63. Â
Samantha Dickinson won the 1,000 free in 12:01.81, as did
Alice Loucraft in the 200 free in 2:06.10.
Kristyn Simoneau was triumphant in the 50 backstroke in 31.03, and Carey won the 50 breaststroke in 32.50.Â
Jaelin Jang touched the wall first in 2:24.06, and Loucraft picked up a second victory in the 50 free in 26.90.
Keely Alterio was the Owls' top diver on the 1-meter board in 191.99, while Chaffee was the top finisher in the 100 free in 1:01.38. Dickinson won another event, the 200 back, in 2:23.94, and Carey also grabbed another win, this one in the 200 breaststroke in 2:40.34.
Young won the 500 free in 5:43.91, and Jang did the same in the 50 fly in 28.96, as well as taking the 100 IM in 1:06.33.  The meet closed out with Simoneau, Dickinson, Chaffee, and
Michelina Ruggieri winning the 400 free relay in 4:15.27.
Keene State returns to the pool next weekend for the final time this season, racing against Plymouth State University on March 6 at 1 p.m.
