PROVIDENCE, R.I.--A pair of Keene State College swimmers picked up weekly awards from the Little East Conference, it was announced today.

Senior Kristyn Simoneau (Rindge, N.H.) was named the LEC Swimmer of the Week for her performances against Eastern Connecticut State on March 13.  Simoneau was a part of four wins, taking the 100 fly in 1:01.24, the 100 free in 56.30, and the 50 fly in 28.21.  She was also part of the winning 400 medley relay, which captured first place in 4:16.10.

Freshman Alice Loucraft (Pepperell, Mass.) was named the LEC Rookie Swimmer of the Week after also notching three individual event wins at ECSU, including the 50 breaststroke in 32.78, the the 50 freestyle in 25.55, and the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.54.

It was the first recognition of the season for both Owls.  The KSC women closed their shortened 2021 season with a 192-70 win over the Warriors in that meet.
