BREWSTER, Mass.--Freshman
Caden Capaldo had a seven stroke improvement, shooting a 74 to finish tied for 40th overall as the Keene State College golf teams competed at the New England Intercollegiatae Golf Association Championships at The Captains Golf Course on Sunday.
Men's Results
Capaldo, who shot an 81 on Saturday, was much improved on Sunday, playing even on the front nine and recording birdies on No. 4, No. 9, No. 13, and No. 18 to finish in a 10-way tie for 40th place.
Sean McCaffrey shot a 90 on Sunday, with four pars, while Zachary Gamble shot a 91 with a birdie on No. 1 and six pars.
Ethan Doherty matched his Day One score with a 91, including a birdie on No. 4, with four pars, and
Will Shea shot a 101 with four pars.
Middlebury's Sean McGarrity was the individual medalist, shooting a 69 on Sunday to finish at -3. Babson College won the team event at +5. Keene State finished in 23rd place.
Women's Results
Emily McCarthy led the Owls with a 47th place finish at +77, with three pars, while
Jodi Mercier was next with a +84 over two days with three pars on Sunday.
Hope Kelley was at +95 with one par, and Alexis Boisvert was +107.
Keene State finished in 10th place at +363; Williams College won the event at +33 and the Ephs Victoria Kim was the individual winner at even par.
