WESTFIELD, Mass.--The Keene State College women's golf team made its debut as a varsity sport with a dual match against Westfield State University at Tekoa Country Club on Saturday.
Sophomore
Jodi Mercier led the way with a +44, notching pars on No. 13 and No. 16. Classmate
Hope Kelley was next, shooting +46, followed by sophomore
Emily McCarthy, who was +48 with a par on No. 11. Â
Senior
Lexi Boisvert (+52) and freshman
Jasmine Shtufaj (+65) completed the Owl roster. Keene State and Westfield State finished with matching scores of 474. The Owls will return to the links on October 1-2, when they take part in the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Fall Classic, held at McGregor Links Country Club, in Wilton, N.Y.
