HEBRON, Conn. - Junior
Madison Mousley finished as the individual medalist with an 86 and the Keene State College women's golf team finished with the top three on the leaderboard as the Owls won the first-ever Warrior Invitational held at the Tallwood Country Club on Sunday.
Mousley had a pair of birdies in her round, including shooting a 41 on the front nine en route to her win, beating rookie teammate
Sadie Murray (89) by five shots.
Abby Weiterman finished third with a 92, and KSC's scoring group was rounded out by
Mackenzie Hagearty's 98.
Marley Ducharme finished with a 104.
As a team, the Owls finished with a 369, 91 strokes better than second-place Eastern Connecticut State University (460). Western Connecticut State University shot a 475 in the three-team event. KSC's team score was their third in the 360s in four events this season, a continual sign of improvement. Their previous best fall total came at the Keene State Invitational, a 388, a year ago, and their previous best total of any kind was a 377 in the spring against Gordon College at the Keene Country Club.
