PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Five members of the Keene State College field hockey team were named to All-LEC team for the 2025 season, as
Grace Bazin was named the LEC Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year and joined on the First Team All-LEC by
Grace Murphy, while
Grace Seabury,
Meghan Daileanes, and
Alessandra Vidal were all named to the Second Team All-LEC, and
Kaitlyn Castriotta was named the Owls' 12th Player Award.
Grace Bazin, a senior forward from Westminster, Vermont was named to the First Team All-LEC and the LEC Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, becoming only the second Owl in program history to accomplish the feat, joining Sami Smith who won the award in 2015 and 2016. Starting in all 22 games on the season, Bazin's historic season on the attack was one of the best single season performances in KSC program history as she finished leading the entire NCAA across all three divisions in points, with 83, and goals, with 37, both of which were more than double the next closest in the conference. Bazin also recorded nine assists, tied for the second-most in the LEC on the year. Bazin scored in all but three games on the season and had a hat trick three times and a pair of four-goal performances. After opening the season with a three consecutive game-winning goals, Bazin finished the season with seven game-winning goals were tied for the third-most in a season in program history. Across the season, Bazin earned multiple honors, including the LEC Offensive Player of the Week for seven of the 10 possible weeks across the season, along with being named the honorable mention for the NFHCA Player of the Week, and the Most Outstanding Player from the LEC championship tournament. In Bazin's senior season with the Owls, she set the single season goals record with 37, finished with the second-most points with 83, along with the most shots on goal in a season with 108. Over just three seasons as an Owl, Bazin's career comes to a close tied for the second-most points with 187, coming from the second-most goals, with 82 to go with 23 assists.
Grace Murphy, a senior from New Boston, New Hampshire, was also named to the First Team All-LEC. Murphy earned the All-LEC selection for the first time in her career as she anchored the Owls' defense throughout the entire season and was one of four Owls to start all 22 games throughout the season. Murphy led the Owls in defensive saves over the year as she recorded four, the sixth-most in the LEC. Her three defensive saves against Western New England University (9/17) were also among the most in a single game in the LEC over the season. Murphy logged her first career collegiate point for the Owls across her three years of the program with an assist in the Owls' blowout against Plymouth State University (10/4). Murphy rounds out her career for the Owls with eight defensive saves, the 11th-most in program history.
Grace Seabury, a junior midfielder from Wakefield, Massachusetts, was named to the Second Team All-LEC for the first time in her career following her impressive season on the attack for the Owls. Just like her teammate Bazin, Seabury was also in the top-10 in goals, assists, and points. Seabury recorded 25 points for the second consecutive season for the Owls as she scored eight goals and tied Bazin for the second-most assists in the conference on the season with nine helpers. Seabury tallied a point in four consecutive games on the season to go with two other streaks of three consecutive games in a row with a point. Over the four-game streak Seabury tallied two goals and five assists, including her season-high four points for the Owls in the 6-1 win at Western Connecticut State University (10/11) where she tallied the eventual game-winning goal and pair of assists for KSC. Seabury also tallied a second game-winning goal on the season as she scored the overtime game-winning goal over New England College (9/9) for the Owls.
Alessandra Vidal, a senior midfielder from Selden, New York, was named to the Second Team All-LEC team for the first time in her career in her second season with the Owls. Vidal was a huge part of the Owls defense on the season as she was one of four Owls to start all 22 games on the year. The Owls defense held opponents to 13.9 shot attempts per game, and Vidal made a pair of defensive saves across the season for the Owls, tied for the third-most on the team. Both of Vidal's defensive saves came in wins for KSC as she had one in the Owls' season-opening win over Rivier University (8/29) and the win on the road at Western Connecticut State University (10/11).
Meghan Daileanes, a junior forward from Londonderry, New Hampshire was named to the Second Team All-LEC for the second consecutive season for the Owls. Daileanes tallied 26 points over the year, good for second-most for KSC and tied for the sixth-most in the LEC from four assists and 11 goals (three game-winners) which tied for the fifth-most in the conference on the season. Daileanes started all but one contest on the season for the Owls and had a season-high of three consecutive games in a row with a goal, which included the Owls' game-winner over Husson University (9/27). Daileanes was clutch for the Owls down the final stretch and in the postseason for KSC as she scored the eventual game-winner at the University of Southern Maine (11/1) in the season finale to secure the No. 2 seed. In the LEC championship game at ECSU, after the game was scoreless for the first 47 minutes, Daileanes sent the ball into the back of the net for the lone goal in the contest to give the Owls the 1-0 win for their 16th LEC title.
Kaitlyn Castriotta, a senior midfielder from Brookline, New Hampshire was named the Owls' 12th Player Award for the 2025 season. The 12th Player Award "is presented to a student-athlete in recognition of their positive contributions to the team both on and off the field, who brings forth their best effort in competition, practice and other team activities that positively contribute to the success of the program." Castriotta saw a large increase in her presence on the field in her senior season, to match her contributions off the field, and she scored her first collegiate goal this season, coming in the Owls' win over Westfield State University (9/11).
