KEENE, N.H. – The Keene State College athletic department named
Tyler Bolaske of the men's cross country team and
Taylor Miller of the men's golf team this week's Owl Athletes of the Week. This week's selection encompassed action from September 15 through September 21.
Tyler Bolaske, a junior from Palmer, Massachusetts, made the most of his first meet of the season at the Cardinal Invitational at Wesleyan University as he placed in the top-ten in the 8k course, besting his previous personal best time by 59 seconds. His time of 24:55.3 was good for ninth on the day as he surpassed his previous best of 25:54.2 at the NCAA regional championships in 2024. Bolaske led the Owls to a seventh-place finish, as KSC finished with 236 points.
Taylor Miller, a freshman from Stoddard, N.H., shot one-over 73 as he placed second in his second collegiate appearance coming at the Rhode Island College Fall Invitational last Tuesday at the Valley Country Club. Over the 18 holes, Miller shot par or better on 16 of the holes, as his performance earned him the Little East Conference Rookie Golfer of the Week. KSC finished third at the match as the top three teams were only separated by nine strokes as the Owls finished with a 307.
