KEENE, N.H. – The Keene State College athletic department named
Cristian Correa of the men's soccer team and
Taylor Miller of the men's golf team this week's Owl Athletes of the Week. This week's selection encompassed action from September 22 through September 28.
Cristian Correa, a junior forward from Londonderry, New Hampshire, took home the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week from his performance over in the Owls' 4-2 win over Fitchburg State University on Tuesday. Correa excelled in the win as he tallied a point in his fifth of eight games to open the 2025 season. In the contest, Correa tallied a pair of goals as he scored what wound up being the eventual game-winner for the Owls. After five goals in his sophomore season for 10 points, Correa has already surpassed the point mark with 11 points in nine games coming from five goals and an assist.
Taylor Miller, a freshman from Stoddard, N.H., earned the LEC Rookie of the Week nod for the second week in a row as he took home his first career collegiate win at the Keene State Invitational on Thursday. On the rainy day on the course, Miller prevailed by shooting a two-over 73 as he won the invitational by a stroke. Miller recorded a par or better on 13 of his final 15 holes, to go with a pair of birdies on the day. KSC fell just short of New England College's first-place finish of 307 as the Owls, led by Miller, finished with 308.
