KEENE, N.H. – The Keene State College athletic department named Eden Damis of the men's indoor track and field team and Molly Lu McKellar of the women's indoor track and field team
Valerie Luizzi of the women's basketball team this week's Owl Athletes of the Week. This week's selection encompassed action from January 12 through January 18.
 
 
Eden Damis, a senior jumper from Nashua, New Hampshire continued to improve in the triple jump this past weekend at the Panther Invitational at Plymouth State University at the Bank of New Hampshire Fieldhouse at ALLWell North on Saturday. Damis set another personal-best mark for the second consecutive week of 14.12 meters, besting his previous-best of 14.00. His new PR is a top 25 Division III mark so far this season.
 
Molly Lu McKellar, a senior multi-athlete form Hebron, New Hampshire was named the Little East Conference Field Athlete of the Week from her impressive performance at the Bates College Invitational and Multi at Merrill Gymnasium on Friday night as she scored 3,207 points to take home first place in the pentathlon event. McKellar placed first in three of the five events, including the 60-meter hurdles (9.25), high jump (1.55 meters), and shot put (9.80 meters).  In the other two events, she placed second in both the long jump (5.10 meters) and 800 meters (2:40.46). Her mark of 3,207 points bested her previous personal best mark of 3,194 at the New England Division III indoor championships last year when she placed sixth and was the fifth best in the country after the conclusion of the meet on Friday.
